Careers at UHY Prostir

During the war we feel especially how important it is to have people around who will listen, understand the circumstances and support you at a difficult moment. We try to keep that attitude in our daily work: to speak openly, look for a way out of difficulties together, support one another and find the strength to keep moving. This is the space we build together with you.

When you come to UHY Prostir, you meet people for many of whom this company was their first job. Here they learned the profession and grew into project managers and heads of practice — some of them into partners. You, our clients, became part of that growth: your trust, the tasks you gave us and the solutions we found together. Behind each of us, in the team and among our clients, there are our own plans, close people and responsibility to them.

We want to spend more time on what really matters to you: understanding your situation, analysis and finding solutions. That is why we keep automating routine tasks, freeing up time for work in which human knowledge, experience and attention bring the most value — to you and to us.

Frequently asked questions

Is salary kept for a mobilised employee?

No. Since 19 July 2022 the obligation to pay mobilised employees their average salary has been abolished (Law No. 2352-IX): no salary is accrued, as the employee does not actually perform their duties. At the same time, their job and position are retained (Art. 119 of the Labour Code).

Can a non-profit organisation be a VAT payer?

Yes. Non-profit status does not automatically exempt from VAT: for example, when purchasing services from non-residents the place of supply is Ukraine, and such transactions are subject to VAT. NGOs should analyse specific transactions rather than rely on their status alone.

Who is liable if an error is found in the books?

If UHY Prostir keeps your books under a comprehensive service agreement, we bear contractual liability for the result: professional liability is insured for UAH 10 million, so the financial consequences of an error are covered by insurance, not by the client’s budget.

Is two weeks’ notice required when resigning under martial law?

As a general rule — yes, but martial law added an exception: an employee may resign without the two-week notice period if there is a risk to their life or health. In other cases the standard procedure applies, with proper paperwork and full settlement on the last working day.
